RTD Module
Know how long your reactor actually holds the fluid
Residence time distribution reveals how long fluid elements spend inside your reactor — the flow patterns, the reaction efficiency and the system performance behind your yield. Measure it with a compact, USB-powered device, with live tracer monitoring and an RTD plot generated automatically.
What measuring RTD lets you do
- Streamline continuous reactor design and scale-up.
- Maximise yield and conversion.
- Minimise unwanted side reactions.
- Enhance product quality.
- Resolve high-resolution RTD profiles even in complex geometries.
- Set up without specialised training or complex instrumentation.
A measured example
In a step-input experiment on a coiled tubular reactor using 10% acetone in ethanol, the measured peak residence times aligned closely with theoretical expectations, validating the reliability of the system's flow characterisation. The RTD curves consistently captured both the primary flow behaviour and subtler secondary features.
All measurements were performed using a single USB-powered device — no complex instrumentation, no dedicated setup.

Running an RTD analysis
The tracer run from start to finish, with the RTD curve generated automatically at the end of it.
Characterise your reactor before you scale it
